Let’s keep this simple.
We’re a busy café and coffee is a big part of what we do. We care about consistency, speed, and keeping things running properly - especially when it gets hectic.
We’re looking for an experienced barista who’s comfortable on the machine and can hold their own during service.
The reality of the role:
- Early starts (6:00am).
- Weekend shifts are part of the deal.
- It gets busy, you’ll need to keep pace without it falling apart.
- You’ll be expected to stay consistent, not just “get coffees out”
If you prefer slower-paced environments or need support during a rush, this probably isn’t the right fit.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Running a coffee section during peak service.
- Dialing in grinders and adjusting throughout the day.
- Keeping workflow clean, efficient, and under control.
- Working closely with the team to keep service moving.
- Talking to customers like a normal person.
What we’re looking for:
- You’ve got solid experience on a commercial machine.
- You can handle a rush without losing consistency.
- You understand workflow and don’t get flustered easily.
- You take pride in what you’re putting out.
- You show up on time and do your job properly.
This isn’t a “learn from scratch” role - we need someone who can step in and get going.
The good part:
- Strong team that knows how to work together.
- Busy services that keep things interesting.
- Daytime hours only.
- Staff food, coffee, and perks.
- Room to step up if you’re switched on.
We’re not trying to sell it as something it’s not - it’s just a good, well-run place to work.
To apply:
Send through:
- Your experience.
- How you handle a busy coffee rush.
- Your experience dialing in grinders.
And just so we know you’ve read this properly, include:
“I can handle the rush” in your application.
