The Berry General Store

The Berry General Store is a busy, community-loved café and general store in the heart of Berry. We have great customers, a team that actually works well together, and plenty happening every day.

We are looking for an all-rounder who gets that hospitality is more than taking orders and running food. It's about creating a great experience, reading the room, and showing up when it counts.

Early starts are part of the job. Weekend shifts are expected. Services move fast and you will need to think ahead without being told. If you need constant direction or prefer a slower pace, this probably is not the right fit.

Greeting customers and taking orders with genuine warmth. Running food and drinks during busy service. Handling the register and processing payments. Keeping the floor clean, stocked, and ready to go. Helping wherever needed to keep service flowing.

Previous café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential. Someone friendly, confident, and genuinely good with people. Organised and efficient under pressure. Uses initiative and notices what needs doing without being asked. Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player.

Daytime hours only. No late nights. A strong team that knows how to work together. Staff food, coffee, and perks. Real room to grow for the right person.
